Tim Qualls’ “Forever” – A Joyful Ode To Love And Life

Tim Qualls‘ debut album sees the light with the vibrant release of “Forever,” a track that marries youthful exuberance with seasoned wisdom.

The well-known alternative pop musician Tim Qualls is presenting his most recent creative venture, which is named “Forever,” in Houston, which is a lively music centre in the United States.

This musical composition represents the artist’s decade-long journey of perseverance through the highs and lows of life, resulting in significant personal growth. It is not merely another piece in their body of work, but an unwavering of dedicated studio labour and life experiences.

The musical piece named “Forever” acts as a sonic depiction of the process of coming into contact with one’s “twin flame” and going through the stages of feeling great romantic devotion.

The under-review “Forever” is distinguished by the conspicuous inclusion of soul components with a rustic aspect that was done by Qualls. This resulted in an atmosphere that is both identifiable and distinctively indicative of his creative style, and it is the subject of this debate.

The album is a convincing demonstration of a compelling synthesis of happiness and self-reflection, as the lyrical compositions written by Qualls address a broad variety of issues including family ties, emotional discomfort, and an infectious feeling of hopefulness towards life.

The compositions that he does may be compared to a mosaic in the field of music since they draw inspiration from a wide variety of different places. His musical composition showcases aspects of Adele’s evocative virtuosity, Sam Smith’s emotive vulnerability in the lyrics, and Ryan Tedder’s fascinating production methods, which has resulted in a varied aural experience that is marked by intricate layers and deep feeling.

However, Qualls’ artistic trajectory has been significantly influenced by more than only contemporary symbols in a variety of ways. The music of this artist reverberates with echoes that are evocative of well-known individuals such as Ray Charles, Jamie Cullum, and John Mayer. As a result, the music of this artist has extra degrees of complexity that can only be attained by having a great awareness of, and appreciation for, the significant predecessors.

The idea of “Forever” contains a deep paradox that can be found at the core of Tim Qualls’ identity. The artist deftly balances the innocence and naivety of youth with the wisdom and experience that can only be gained with time.

The result is a symphony that is both visually attractive and musically engaging. “Forever” has sophisticated melodies and harmonies that flow gently across the aural field, evoking feelings of both tranquil stability and invigorating energy.

Qualls’s vocal performance has a remarkable quality that exceeds the accompanying musical parts.

The resonant melody of “Forever” conjures up an entrancing sensation of joy and authenticity, all of which are undoubtedly visible in the creative expression of Tim Qualls.

“Forever” serves as a compelling look into the upcoming collection of songs, which has the potential to deeply connect with and profoundly touch the emotional and spiritual well-being of its audience.

With the imminent release of his debut album, this particular single works as a captivating peek into the future collection of songs.

Could you tell us about the creative process behind “Forever”?
My typical writing process is me writing through my DAW, LOGIC, and coming up with concepts, progressions, vibes, and building entire demos around each small idea. Forever started in that very same way, on a very simple unassuming day, in between shuttling my kids back and forth to school.

There were a few months when I didn’t have much on my plate, and so I spent a lot of time in front of my computer just banging out idea after idea. Forever started on the piano where I came up with the progression, that quickly developed into the melody.

Within a few short hours, I had the concept down, a full demo and I would say maybe 75% of the lyrics done. With each demo I did that made it to the album, we would take the demo as a baseline, and build around it. So a lot of what is on the actual record was made within that time period.

What inspired you to create “Forever”?
For me, a lot of my writing has been centred on feeling, vibe, and groove. Forever, started out as just that with a piano, kick drum, and a great melody, and then out of nowhere I sang “ I could do this forever”, and boom the song came from that one line that was adlibbed.

When I began digging into the lyrics, it all stemmed from where I am at this time of life, with my wife and children, wishing I could hold on to this time forever, knowing good well that it won’t be here for very long.

You’ve undoubtedly developed a unique sound and style to fit into your musical journey, how does it showcase your growth and artistic evolution?
Well, I made about 4-5 Eps, where I would sit in the back of the room and let a producer do 95% of everything.

My music really started to move and grow once I decided to sit in the pilot seat and work on tone, vibe, sounds, and instrumentation by myself. Of course, I have been honing the sound in with a very good friend, Ty Robins, but the music definitely shifted once I started to control the workflow more.

When you don’t have to depend on someone to put down what is in your head, and you can finally, and literally make the sounds yourself, something changes within the music and art, and for me, it has been for the better.

Can you share the underlying message or theme that you wanted to convey through “Forever”?
Nostalgia. Memories. Thankfulness. Blessings. Love. All of those things. Being so dang grateful for what is going on around you, and understanding that the time and moment is always momentary and fleeting. Doing my best to absolutely live in the moment( even though that continues to be a journey for me)

How do you envision “Forever” resonating with your audience, and what impact do you hope it will have on listeners as this has the potential to become a fan-favourite.?
For me, I hope it resets the bar for me and the listener. It should give everyone a pallet cleanse of what came before, and move my sound, tone, and vibe forward. It’s the adult me, that I just happen to stumble onto.

From the moment the sample starts, to the moment the bridge hits, I really hope it changes the way people see and hear my music.

Do you have any exciting plans or projects in the pipeline? Can you give us a glimpse into what the future holds for your music?
OH MY GOSH YES. I have music videos coming, an in-studio live video taping of some songs from the album, and a mini-documentary on the making of the album, and in August I am beginning to record acoustic versions of the album to drop in 2024.

I am enjoying building an entire world around this collection of songs, and I may or may not have written 80% of the NEXT album already, so MAYBE, we might begin down that road next year at some point.

How do you navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with being an artist in today’s competitive landscape?
Right now, in this season of life for me, I am living by two very specific north stars: 1- To be there for my family at all times, and 2- To make good art. Everything else, any success, any wins or losses, is out of my control.

What I can control, is working towards those two goals at all times and at all costs. By focusing on making great art, I think it automatically becomes competitive, because instead of focusing on the randomness, or content, those things become the result of hard work, and dialling into the art-making process.

It’s really really easy to focus on that, and not make good music. There is a saying, that the goal is not to become famous. That fame should be the results, or even haphazard of really diligent work. Finding a north start for artists is the best way to keep your eyes focused on what matters the most.

Are there any other musical genres or styles that you are interested in exploring in your future releases?
OH, MAN. This is a daily balance for me. Luckily, I produce on the side as well, so many of those genres get itched quite frequently. One area I AM enjoying is working on music for TV and film.

I recently had the opportunity to work on music for two short films and have plans to also release that as a soundtrack. For my next solo album, my hope is that I continue on the current journey I am on, offering soulful rootsy vibes.

At the end of the day, I freaking LOVE good pop music, so that plus adding to that exploration will be my next step.
