Who are your biggest musical influences?
Ray Charles, Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Enya, Beethoven

What inspired you to write your latest album/song?
I was living in a spiritual community in the mountains of Guatemala at a lake called Atitlan. There I channelled this song in a recording session. While creating the song I had a vision about how we create reality: first, there is a thought, then there is a movement to that thought, then there is an action with which we create reality.

So how can we create consciously the reality we would like to experience? It all comes from the inside. Who we are is what we experience. I´m on a soul quest for almost 2 years now and it had brought me to Egypt now.

What message do you hope to convey through your music?
I want to inspire people to ask themselves the question: how can I create the reality I wish to experience? It´s all inside of us, if we want to change the outside world experience, we must go inside.

Reality is a sound journey and it takes you to a place inside of yourself. I feel like many people are waking up now and becoming more conscious. It makes me happy to see that people are searching and I want to give answers and support through my own experiences and research. Reality is the soundtrack of my festival Freedom Festival, which is taking place in Egypt now, the land of healing and magic.

What was the most challenging aspect of recording your latest album?
Well, the song went a long way. So, I recorded the song in the mountains of Guatemala in 2021 together with an artist and healer – and we didn´t have much equipment there. So first we recorded it with a loop machine which was limited to 16 bars and we built everything loop after loop with this loop machine.

Luckily I found a keyboard in the village, I was travelling without any equipment at that time, and I met a Cello player. We used the sound of waves, percussions etc. We didn´t have professional equipment, but the vibe was great and that is what matters. After my travel to Central America, I continued recordings in Berlin.

But I was still not satisfied. So another friend from Mexico produced it now and we recorded new vocals again. And I was still not happy. So I decided to record the vocals with a simple mic in the house of my parents in Germany to capture a grounding frequency.

And these are the final vocals you can here. Back in Berlin we mixed and mastered the song on 432 Hz – 2 years later the journey is complete and it hopefully takes you on a soul journey!

What has been your favourite moment or experience as a musician so far?
When I started travelling the world 2 years ago and got in touch with the indigenous and spiritual community, with ancient wisdom, shamans and healers. It really shaped my music and changed how I see the world.

Paradoxically my last album Freedom was ready to be released and came out in November 2020 – my Album Freedom had nothing to do with the world situation back then since I recorded it in 2019/beginning of 2020. It’s about breaking free personally and liberating myself. But the situation we all experienced showed me even more how precious freedom is for me.

So yeah I couldn’t go on tour, all cancelled. Instead, I channelled Freedom Festival with which I travel around the world now to liberate the body, mind and soul, to connect, to empower communities and to understand that we’re all equal and one. To see the festival growing and how it activates and transforms all of us makes me endlessly grateful.

How do you balance your personal life with your music career?
Well, music is my life and represents how I see the world, music is I, there is no separation between m personal and my music life. It´s the reason why I´m here and I´m following my heart on my music journey to enjoy the ride.

Sometimes I´m balanced, sometimes I‘m less balanced. I decided 2 years ago to go on a travel and leave the darkness behind during lockdown. I´m a very happy and positive person by nature and now that I touched the light, I´m in my higher power.

How do you handle negative criticism or feedback on your music?
Well, negative criticism is subjective. It really depends on who gives me feedback and how they approach me. It´s never personal, but vibrational. So if someone gives me negative feedback in a kind of rude way I either think: alright I must be out of balance / in low vibration that negativity even speaks to me or I think I didn´t listen to my intuition and turned around before it happened cause I could feel what´s about to happen.

Really it´s all good, judgement is man-made and negative feedback has only to do with the one who´s giving the feedback…and when someone is approaching me kind and compassioned I see sense in it, the message reaches me and I´m grateful for it in order to grow and be motivated to keep working on my music. I call this a positive feedback.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians trying to make it in the industry?
Well, I haven´t figured it all out myself. Be aware that it is an industry – so you will face manufactured unipersonal products – while music is supposed to be a transcendent art form. It´s so paradox our modern world! Keep that in mind and decide if you want to be a manufacturer or a soul musician.

Be authentic and don´t listen to the noise, listen to what you feel and laugh about the no – Sayers. Don´t take this life too seriously. It´s a game, go play and play music as much as you can. And yes personality and teamwork are the key as much as it is marketing: the digital door to the people who want to meet and hear your music.

Most of all be kind and in service. You get what you give, and the reality you think will become true. Work on yourself, dedicate your life to music, your gift is a responsibility and be grateful for failure, the greatest learning experience we can get. Go enjoy reality!
