How long have you been making music and what attracted you to it?
You can find my EPK at lilywelchmusic.com. I started playing instruments when I was 7. I started writing my own songs when I was 11. So I have been writing songs for 7 years. My parents always had music playing. I would hear songs and play them back by ear on my instruments.

What were your first project and the people you worked with and which year?
My first “professional” project was my first single “Don’t Need Anyone Now” I recorded it in October of 2022 with the help and guidance of Jay Nash, a national know musician that has a studio in my home town.

Who or what inspires you or motivates you? And why?
I am inspired by artists like Noah Kahn and Sylvan Esso. I am motivated to make music by the power and solace it has provided for me. It drives me to want to make music that I can share with the world.

What are your friends and parents thoughts on your career in singing?
My friends and my parents have always been extremely supportive of a career in music. Their support has always made me feel that a career in music was attainable.

What are some of the challenges you face in your career path?
There have been times when I have tried to write a song for hours and been unable to develop the sound or lyric I envisioned. That can be incredibly frustrating and last for days sometimes. Another big challenge is getting my music out to be heard and getting it in front of people.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
The internet has definitely made this a bit easier than getting discovered by a label or getting radio play, I have been told. This is really my first run at it so it is all I have ever known.

Do you have any advice for aspiring songwriters?
I am an aspiring songwriter myself but, I would say having tough skin and being able to take criticism and having resilience and not giving up.

What is your current project about?
My current project “Medicine” is about finding myself through heartbreak, love, and life experiences and how music is medicine for me in all of these situations.

What does this song mean to you?

What are your hobbies?
I love the outdoors and try to take full advantage of all the seasons outside here in Vermont. My hobbies include skiing, hiking and art of all kinds.

What do you do aside from this profession?
Aside from aspiring to be a successful singer-songwriter, I am finishing up my senior year in high school. I recently was accepted into the Berkley College of Music in Boston and the Curb School of Music at Belmont University in Nashville. I am in the process of determining which school I will attend in the fall.

What is one message you would give to your fans?
