CRYME Blends Classic House And Modern Vibes On “Reality Rush” EP

SEVEN Co-Founder CRYME Channels Detroit Spirit Through Modern Production Architecture, Featuring Strategic Remixes from Christoph Faust and Mesmer

SEVEN is happy to present CRYME‘s second EP, “Reality Rush” It is a superb mix of classic atmospheric house and modern production.

The EP features remixes by Christoph Faust and Mesmer, which makes it sound more varied. The “Reality Rush” EP is a five-track journey that uses expert production skills and smart partnerships to take familiar house music and make them sound completely new.

Christoph Faust started making electronic music 15 years ago. Berlin’s creative movement gave him ideas and pushed many graffiti artists to try new things in their work.

After five years of success as Inhalt Der Nacht, Christoph wanted to have more freedom with his songs. For him, making and playing music was not about sticking to a certain type. It was about following his ideas and feelings. He started his house nickname using his real name at that point.

The title track “Reality Rush” operates as both an affirmation of purpose and technical showcase. CRYME‘s approach to sound design reveals a deep understanding of frequency architecture – each element occupies its own sonic space while contributing to a greater whole.

The bassline is both the rhythmic base and the melodic voice of the song. Carefully designed drums move the music forward without being too loud.

Christoph Faust’s remix of “Reality Rush” takes it to a different world where the mechanical spirit of Detroit meets the club style of Berlin. In his Detroit-inspired version, it is like watching a timelapse of a city falling apart backwards, with something beautiful rising from the ruins.

The heavier kick drums land like footsteps in an empty warehouse, while those reversed vocals create an almost mystical atmosphere, as if the ghost of Motor City past is whispering secrets through time.

The strategic use of reversed vocals and historical samples adds temporal depth, connecting past and present through sound. The extended 8:03 runtime enables a gradual build that mirrors the physical experience of peak-time club moments.

“Aurora” shows that CRYME understands the basics of minimalism. The track does not fill up every frequency band; instead, it lives by purposely leaving some out.

Patterns of percussion, especially the prominent conga work, add depth to the sound while keeping it clear. This is music that knows how empty space can change the sound of things. It is a piece for the night that sounds like cityscapes at night.

CRYME pushes the limits of house music’s structure on “Orbit Exp.” The changing pad patterns in the track build tension by shifting the tone instead of making big changes in the dynamics.

This arrangement style shows a high level of control, letting small changes create an emotional effect. One way electronic music can tell a story is through its sound and tone.

Mesmer’s digital extra remix ends the collection by making the original track bigger. This version carefully uses reverberate and delay to look at how different production methods can change the mood while keeping the musical DNA. It is a perfect ending that shows how different views can live together in the same broadcast.

Mesmer is a Swedish DJ and producer based in Berlin, known for his passion for house music. With a versatile approach, he seamlessly mixes and produces various styles within the genre, creating an energetic and engaging atmosphere.

When he plays as a DJ, his sets are full of catchy beats and positive vibes. He takes people on a trip through the different types of house music, from deep and soulful to funky and high-energy.

Mesmer’s skill at mixing tracks together makes a smooth flow that keeps dance floors moving. Then he adds his own unique touch, which comes from listening to different kinds of music.

“Reality Rush” is very interesting because it sounds both old and new at the same time. The music that CRYME and his partners made is a tribute to the long past of house music without becoming a museum piece.

This EP shows how SEVEN is becoming more important in Berlin’s electronic music history. Through the way CRYME makes music and works with other artists, it is clear that the label wants to find a balance between history and new ideas.

“Reality Rush” makes CRYME look like an artist who knows about the past of house music and how it might change in the future.
