Alexa Kate is setting the tone for her next musical chapter with “good for long”, an upcoming EP expected later this year.

Taking a hands-on approach to the project, the American singer has written or co-written every track, making the collection a personal expression of her artistry and perspective.

Built around shimmering textures and a dreamy mid-tempo groove, she explores the lingering pull of a connection that refuses to disappear simply because a relationship has ended.

Alexa Kate turns her attention to the invisible threads that can keep two people connected long after they have gone their separate ways.

The song’s subject matter feels especially relevant in a dating culture where relationships can end without necessarily bringing emotional closure.

As the EP approaches, the single introduces an artiste willing to explore the messier side of love, where moving forward does not always mean leaving every feeling behind.
