South Wales four-piece The Now capture that sudden, dizzying jolt of romantic whiplash on their new single, “Did You Miss Me?” Running into a former flame across a crowded room is usually an exercise in awkward self-preservation. Here, though, the unresolved tension and mutual spark get funneled straight into bright, kinetic indie pop. Rather than agonizing over what broke, the track embraces that chaotic, stomach-flipping rush of attraction all over again.
Together, Shane Callaghan, Callum Bromage, Jay Evans, and Will Scott stitch together driving rock instincts, groove-heavy basslines, and glossy 1980s synth shimmer. The rhythm pushes relentlessly forward, climbing into an expansive, anthemic chorus made for shouting at the ceiling.
Just when you think you have the track’s heartbeat measured, a rapid, intricate solo tears through the middle a high-intensity burst of melodic fireworks that cuts loose before dropping seamlessly back into the hook.

It is vibrant, slightly nostalgic, and wonderfully restless. Reconnecting with shared history is always a gamble, but who says an emotional reckoning can’t make you want to dance?
