Nigerian artist Boysarm makes romantic surrender sound completely effortless on his radiant new single, “I Go Lie For You”. Signed to Lestat Entertainment while balancing life as a University of Lagos undergraduate, the solo musician filters contemporary Afrobeats through classic Highlife warmth and what he coins his “Elite Awakening Sounds.” The track pivots on everyday Lagos street parlance: the rhetorical question “I Go Lie For You?” customarily used to swear complete honesty recast as an earnest, joyful pledge of absolute devotion.

The production thrives on a buoyant, swaying syncopation that never rushes itself. Bright, resonant melodies intertwine with lush tropical textures, while recurring harmonized chants keep the rhythm in continuous, uplifting motion.

Boysarm skips any pretense of emotional detachment; he sounds dizzy with infatuation, ready to hand over everything he owns and follow his muse anywhere. It captures that particular delirium where devotion feels buoyant rather than burdensome.

When did wearing your heart this openly on a dancefloor become such a thrilling act of bravery?
