What would you say is your greatest strength as an artist?
Hi!
Well to start, for those who don’t know me I am DoosC, an electronic music artist from Luxembourg. As an artist, I think my greatest strength is my ability to create music that is both unique and relatable. I strive to create music that not only showcases my individuality but also resonates with my audience in some way.

Additionally, my dedication and passion for my craft allow me to continually improve and evolve as an artist. I think that in this sense discipline is key: Amateurs wait for inspiration and professionals just show up and get to work. If you want to be a professional, you have to show up every day, even when you don’t feel like it. You have to be dedicated to your craft, and you have to be willing to put in the time and effort required to achieve your goals.

What is your creative process when making music?
My creative process varies from track to track, but typically, I start with a chord progression that speaks to me.

From there, I build the rest of the track around that foundation, layering different sounds and textures until I achieve the desired result. I also draw inspiration from my personal experiences and emotions, which often find their way into the ambience or the mood of the track.

How long have you been making music and what attracted you to it?
I’ve been making music seriously for about 2 years now, and what attracted me to it initially was the ability to express myself in a way that words alone couldn’t. Music became an outlet for my emotions and allows me to express them in a way no other medium can. It is difficult to explain, but it is like an urge to express my feelings this way.

What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome as a band/artist so far?
The biggest challenge I’ve faced as an artist is staying true to myself and my vision while also trying to navigate the ever-changing music industry. It can be tempting to conform to what’s popular or what’s expected, but I’ve learned that staying true to my artistry is what ultimately sets me apart, and that’s also how I can bring value to others.

What streaming sites do you think offer the most value to a band?
As an independent artist, I’ve found that Spotify stills offer the most value to me. Although much maligned from a royalty point of view, it seems to me that it is still the platform that offers the most opportunity for emerging artists to be discovered.

How do you think social media or the internet has affected the music scene in your country?
Social media and the internet have had a significant impact on the music scene in Luxembourg. It has allowed artists like myself to reach a wider audience and connect with new fans worldwide. Additionally, it has made it easier for local artists to find other local artists, which has helped to strengthen the local music community as a whole.

What are your friends and parents thoughts on your career?
That’s always a tricky question. I think that most of my friends and parents have been supportive of my music. But it is also a question of tastes and with any music offering if you take 100 persons you will probably have 99 persons that don’t like what you do for 1 person liking it.

So only a small part of my family and friends know my music would listen to it regularly and that’s OK. I don’t want them to listen to it because it’s me, I want them to listen to it because they like it regardless.

What does your current song mean to you?
My current song is deeply personal and reflects a significant moment in my life. It’s a reminder to myself and others that we should not underestimate the importance of valuing our romantic partners and not assuming that they will always be there.

We should continually show our appreciation and gratitude for their presence in our lives (and it goes both ways!), to strengthen our relationship and avoid the pain and regret that can come from losing someone we love. It can also extend to any relationship in general.

It’s no secret that research has consistently shown that happiness is linked to positive relationships with our friends, family, and romantic partners. Strong ties with loved ones, spending time with them, and sharing personal feelings can all contribute to happiness. So yeah, relationships are an important topic!

What is one message you would give to your fans?
To my fans, I would say thank you for your support and for believing in my music. I hope that my music can inspire and uplift you and that it can serve as a reminder that we are all connected through a shared human experience. As I always say, music is the universal language of humanity!
